Sunday (God's day no less), I was blissfully enjoying my snowbound isolation when out of no where I find a doctor giving this procedure to a woman. She proclaimed, and I quote, "Even if your man is a miss, with the G Shot it is hit every time!" Is that a happy ending or what? It's about damn time someone started looking out for the ladies. The downside...it only lasts about 4 months. I bet you could do some damage in that amount of time. :)

First Official Report of the Year
Well. This is my first report of the new year. I am happy to say my writing is moving along just fine. It isn't taking me nearly as long to edit my novel as I thought it would and it is kind of fun. Some of the stuff I don't even remember writing! I'm also playing around with screenplays. I know, that's crazy talk. But I've been reading up on it, looking at some opportunities and I think I want to try my hand at it. Just a little anyway, see if I have a knack for it.
Anyway, the new year has become my muse and life continues to inspire me every single day. So to offer you some inspiration here is something a little new. My weekly playlist. Most of these songs you can listen to online at the artists website. Or download it at iTunes for 99 cents. It's practically the only thing you can get for less than a dollar these days.
At first glance these songs might sound sappy or depressing. I challenge you to go deeper. I think they are all about HOPE.

Wrapping Up 2006
Sorry I haven't been posting in a while. Life has been very busy for me. You all know I went to Cancun. I had a good time. The weather was pretty decent, My best friend got married and not once did I get sick! I did get some sun rash, but it went away when the sun did. Imagine that.
This is my favorite photo of Tulum an Ancient Mayan Ruin. If you look real close you can see the wood beam in the door frame. They say it is origional to the structure. Sometimes I am a little cynical. I want them to prove it to me, but on this I suppose I will have to take our tour guides word.
Christmas was good. Got to spend it with family. Since then I've been doing major house cleaning. Guess you could say I've been getting rid of extra baggage so that I could start the new year fresh. The gym and I are falling in love. I actually just got back from a workout and couldn't feel better. I'm using the extra energy to work on my novel. I have stuff that people can actually look at now. Whoopee! I also have started some preliminary ideas for a second novel. This one is not urban fantasy, it's not even in the genre, but the story came to me and I am eager to give it a shot. We'll see what happens. If nothing else it will be good practice. I will be able to see if I can put the second one together faster than the first.
I wish you all a very happy new year. I don't know that I will continue to send out email reminders each time I post. I am looking into other ways to contact people. I have set up the RSS Feed which you can subscribe to. Comments or suggestions on the topic are welome.

4. If your biz plan depends on you suddenly being "discovered" by some big shot, your plan will probably fail.

7. Keep your day job.
8. Companies that squelch creativity can no longer compete with companies that champion creativity.
9. Everybody has their own private Mount Everest they were put on this earth to climb.

11. Don't try to stand out from the crowd; avoid crowds altogether.
12. If you accept the pain, it cannot hurt you.
13. Never compare your inside with somebody else's outside.

15. The most important thing a creative person can learn professionally is where to draw the red line that separates what you are willing to do, and what you are not.
16. The world is changing.
17. Merit can be bought. Passion can't.
18. Avoid the Watercooler Gang.

22. Nobody cares. Do it for yourself.
